Key Tasks and Deliverables:
Provision of subject matter expertise in the area of occupational and cognitive psychology to research and development projects and procurement programmes. The role will include providing expert advice on the cognitive aspects of human performance to a range of programmes, quality assurance, conducting sensitive human performance research, and Technical Partnering.
The Armed Forces Recruiting Programme (AFRP) has been established to provide the successor to the current recruiting operations for the Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force from 2022. AFRP aims to deliver an affordable future recruiting model that is flexible and agile enough to deliver the inflow required.
The AFRP team are looking for an Occupational Psychologist, who is able to lead the scoping work into the creation of a future tri-Service Common Cognitive test.
This essential piece of work will aim to understand the current assessment systems utilised by the tri-Services during their recruitment process. The post holder will then look to create a unified tri-Service approach by conducting job role analysis, understanding key skills, aptitude and knowledge requirements for different job families. The production of a Common Cognitive test will also provide the opportunity for potential recycling of candidates between the Services and thus reduce candidate wastage from the ss.
