Key Tasks and Deliverables:

  • Conduct a range of Commercial Activity for the programme. Specifically:

– Development of target cost models (the should cost price)

– A strategic programme partner (consultant to assist with planning, development of the programme and AMIRs etc.)

– Contractor partner(s) to assist with ECI and project delivery

-Develop the concepts behind the above and work out routes to market as well as the formal documentation etc.

  • Leading on parts of the Transition Strategy for the migration from the existing Contractual Arrangements to the new contractual arrangements DIO Commercial and input to the overarching Commercial Strategy;
  • Support the commercial planning for the delivery of the final Commercial Solution;
  • Support the development of Internal Business Cases, Investment Appraisals and support to Senior Briefings;
  • Provide commercial Input to the Transfer of Undertaking Protection (TUPE) Workstreams working with Legal Experts and Policy Subject Matter Experts. Providing input to the drafting in the Invitation to Tenders/Invitation to Negotiate;
  • Providing timely feedback on performance issues, successes, and contractual risk to Senior Commercial Leaders;
  • Supporting the development of the future Incentivisation, Performance Management and Contracting Arrangements for the new contracting arrangements;
  • Accountable for ensuring the cross-cutting elements of the commercial sourcing strategies are delivered in accordance with the Programme Plan, highlighting the issues to Senior Commercial Leaders;
  • Conducts commercial assurance of business cases, commercial strategies and contracting approaches, to ensure that sound commercial practices are being applied which will best deliver the commercial aims;
  • Examines risks to project commercial success and implements appropriate mitigations;
  • Lead the team and provides sound advice, guidance and coaching to team members.
