Key Tasks and Deliverables:

CCS is undertaking a massive programme of Digital Transformation. We are reviewing our entire business and delivering new and improved digital technologies to enhance the services we provide, the ways we work, and how we interact with our customers, suppliers and other stakeholders. Agile digital delivery is taking place across seven broad workstreams – and the pace and scale of change is truly challenging. CCS is looking to appoint a Digital Integration Developer to work on a number of Integration Projects as part of an in-house team.

General

  • Develop and maintain a robust and governed release pipeline making use of AWS DevOps best practice for Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Work to development standards based on best practices and aligned to Government Digital Service Standards
  • Work directly with Integration Analysts and Architects to further develop suitable solutions to meet the business requirements
  • Develop and test the required code using CCS standards before releasing to agreed test environments for end-to-end testing
  • Provide support during and throughout the entire software delivery lifecycle
  • Ensure detailed designs are documented to CCS standards

Experience Required:

ESSENTIAL

Proven experience within Public or Private Sector specific to the category/operations

  • Demonstrable knowledge of working in similar sector within a commercial, fast pace, multi site environment
  • Experience of working within technical development teams working in an agile environment
  • An ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience, including presentations to user groups
  • Knowledge of the use of version control systems e.g. Subversion or Git
  • Experience of working with complex data schemas and developing APIs to integrated heterogeneous services, including SaaS products, and microservices.
  • Working knowledge of developing, testing and integration using code repository and continuous integration tools
  • Extensive experience of API development to Open API 2.0
  • Experience working and developing in an AWS environment
  • Experience of REST/JSON,YAML SOAP/XML, Swagger or Apiary, Git, Jenkins,
  • Strong background in developing in the following – Java or Python or both
  • Must have Ruby on Rails experience

Desirable:

  • Experience of following secure software development principles and practices
  • Experience of Salesforce or Master Data Management
  • Practical application TOGAF and modeling with Archimate
  • Experience of AWS development: API Gateway, Lambda, Docker/Kubernates
